If you’re like us, you start celebrating Halloween as soon as the clock strikes midnight on Oct. 1. We’ve rounded up October’s best Halloween events to keep you partying like a poltergeist all month long.

Trance in Yo Pants: Scare Yo Pants Off Edition
Sunday, October 9
Dance your decaying pants off to trance, house and hard-style beats at this pre-Halloween zombie dance party featuring live, local DJs including DJ BVBY G and DJ Tron. Two of the most gruesome, “scare yo pants off” zombies will each win $50 drink cards to Hula’s Bar and Lei Stand.

Hawai‘i Zombie Crawl 2016
Friday, October 14
“Zombies never say die” at this year’s sixth annual Hawai‘i Zombie Crawl with more than 13 participating venues, exclusive drink specials and live, local music with The Fresh Preps, Tavana, Serpico and The Sinners. Can’t seem to follow that zombie makeup tutorial on YouTube? Never fear (unless you catch sight of yourself in the mirror), NextDoor’s Zombie Salon will be offering a full makeup menu ranging from Freshly Dead to Decadent Decay. All proceeds from this year’s event will go to Honolulu nightlife mainstays Daniel Gray and Christa Wittmier to help with their continued battles against cancer.

Halloweird Extravaganza LUX at The Row
Friday, October 21
Bring out your sexiest, scariest or funniest costume for a chance to win prizes at LUX at The Row’s Halloween Party and Costume Contest. Dance the night away to live Jazz’oween music from Daniel Saul’s Band, DJ Annalog, DJ Freeze and Drumline Hawai‘i’s ZOMBIE Drumline. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to various nonprofits including BizBuzz Lemonade Coffee.

Zombies Nerf Attack

Kill zombies for a cause at the world’s largest zombie event/nerf war. Compete against zombies and survivors from over 300 participating cities using a special Zombies app in this live-action, free-roam zombie apocalypse. Fifty percent of the profit will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Eat the Street: Dia De Los Muertos

If eating tacos and drinking margaritas is more your style, Eat the Street’s theme for October is Dia De Los Muertos—day of the dead. Bring the whole family (even your pets!) for a night of street food, live music and salsa dancing. Sugar skull makeup is optional.

Watch a ghoulishly glamorous performance by a mystery guest, feast on savory treats and scary-good sweet treats from EAT Honolulu and get your bones rattling with DJ Takai and DJ Vaughn. Come in costume for your chance to win a spook-tacular gift!

Run the Zombie Apocalypse
Saturday, October 29
The zombies are coming! Make a run for your life away from blood-thirsty zombies in this 5k obstacle course with a zombie crawl, blood slide, undead camp and more. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Special Olympics Hawaii and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Hallowbaloo Street Festival 2016

Get your capes and broomsticks ready for the ninth annual Hallowbaloo Music & Arts Festival. This year’s festivities are even bigger with three locations: Downtown Honolulu, Chinatown and venues at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Howl along to DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown aka Erykah Badu and treat yourself to dinner at Square Barrels, Hawaiian Fresh Farms, Istanbul Restaurant, Olay’s Thai Express and more. Complimentary trolleys will shuttle festivalgoers to all three locations and back for a full night of haunted revelry.

Haunted Wonderland

Progressive-house music producer deadmau5 (pronounced “dead mouse,” as in the smell that could haunt your house forever) is taking over this year’s Haunted Wonderland with supporting artists Attlas, No Mana and Black Gummy. If you don’t feel like driving all the way out to Wahiawā in the pursuit of a legendary Halloween concert, there will be shuttles to and from UH Mānoa.

Night of the Killer Costumes

Since one night of Halloween is never enough, SKY Waikīkī is hosting a spooktacular two-part Halloween costume contest featuring sounds by K-Smooth, DJ Jem and DJ Onizzle. Crowd favorites for the sexiest, funniest, and overall best costume will win a total of $7,000 in cash and prizes.

Halloween at the Hyatt
Monday, October 31
Calling all Jokers and Harley Quinns: bring your team of super villains to Bad vs. Evil, a Suicide-Squad-themed Halloween party, and the biggest costume contest in Waikīkī. Winners will receive up to $2,000 in cash and prizes. An official Halloween-at-the-Hyatt afterparty will be held at The District Nightclub to keep the party going all night long.
