The local artist makes herself at home.

Tropical aesthetes, take note. After painting the town chic with a slew of covetable fashion collabs, local artist Lauren Roth is now turning her brush toward Island interiors, teaming up with local label Island Plantation on a whimsical home décor line set to launch this month.
Picture this: two distinct-yet-complementary collections themed around dreamy ocean elements and lush flora-dotted foliage. Think delicate pastel shells floating atop swirling ombré waves, and exuberant hibiscus and bird-of-paradise stems springing forth from walls of monstera and palms, all in Roth’s signature layered watercolors.
Each collection features throw pillows in various sizes, 10-by-10-inch printed-canvas wall art and sets of ceramic dinnerware, which include palette-pleasing bowls, plates, mugs and serving trays, even little dip spreaders.
In a serendipitous stroke, Roth herself is settling into a new nest of sorts. Come this fall she’ll be setting up shop in Kailua, opening her very first storefront at 131 Hekili Street, fully stocked with said homewares, original paintings, prints and her ever-expanding accessories range, making it easier than ever to curate a Roth collection of your own.
