Where to Watch the Super Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii

Editor’s Note: Football fans should check out our new list, Super Bowl Sunday 2019: 8 Spots to Watch the Game vs. 9 Takeout Options on O‘ahu.

Last week’s Pro Bowl only whetted the appetites of sports fans all over the island as they gear up for the Ravens vs. the 49ers in the Super Bowl this Sunday at 1:30 HST.  Where will you watch the Harbaugh sibling playoff go down? We’ve got your guide below.

Breakers Bar & Grill

For people on the North Shore, Breakers Bar and Grill is one of the only places to catch the game on the North Shore. Come at least an hour early to nab a seat. Specials will be listed on the chalkboard behind the bar. Breakers Bar and Grill, 66250 Kamehameha Hwy., Haleiwa., 637-9898, breakersnsh.com.

Buffalo Wild Wings

This is a sports lover’s haven, with plenty of screens and lots of wings.  The restaurant is launching a new takeout menu (think: food to feed 20-100 people) just in time for game day. Long lines expected. Buffalo Wild Wings, 1778 Ala Moana Blvd., 983-3933, buffalowildwings.com.

Giovanni Pastrami’s

Watch the game on one of Giovanni Pastrami’s 17 plasma screens and order one of their famous pastrami or sausage slider platters. Reservations required with a payment of $25 to secure it (you’ll get the $25 back as restaurant credit). Regular happy hour deals in full force during the game. Giovanni Pastrami’s, 227 Lewers St., 923-2100, giovannipastrami.com.

Hard Rock Cafe

If you’re looking for the biggest Super Bowl party in town, this is the place. The Hard Rock’s Bud Light Big Game Headquarters Party gets you reserved seating, a pupu platter, a specialty menu, two drinks, dessert and free swag. Plus, the retail shop is being transformed into a beer garden with tables and TVs. The event sold out last year, so make your reservations now. Walk-ins will only be admitted to the beer garden. $75 per person, 21+, Hard Rock Cafe, 280 Beachwalk St., 955-7383, hardrock.com.

Murphy’s Bar and Grill

Downtown favorite Murphy’s Bar and Grill will also be playing the Super Bowl, if you’re looking for something less crazy. Don Murphy, owner and 49ers fan, tells us he’ll be serving up a special Cajun tailgate Super Bowl menu. Murphy’s Bar and Grill, 2 Merchant St., 531-0422, murphyshawaii.com.

Yard House

The extensive beer list (130 on tap, for starters) coupled with plenty of screens makes Yard House an obvious choice for sports fans. It's also one of the few restaurants that touts being family-friendly for the big game. Insider’s tip: order the mac and cheese. First come, first serve.  Yard House, 226 Lewers St., 923-9273, yardhouse.com.
