Hint: Nowhere.

We all know how hard it can be to find parking in Lanikai, especially on a hallmark Hawai‘i beach day. If you’re going to Lanikai Beach this weekend thinking you’ll get lucky, beware.

In anticipation of the three-day holiday weekend, the City and County of Honolulu will be restricting parking in Lanikai to balance public access to nearby beaches with public safety for the community.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Friday, Nov. 10, to Sunday, Nov. 12, there will be no parking on all Lanikai streets and shoulders.

Sawhorse-type signs will be placed on streets in Lanikai to notify motorists of the restrictions. “No Left Turn” signs will be placed at the triangle intersection in front of Kalapawai Market, where South Kalāheo Avenue meets Kailua Road.

Anyone who plans on heading out to Lanikai Beach or the Lanikai Pillboxes Trail this weekend is advised to walk, bike, take TheBus Route 70 Lanikai or get dropped off.
