Yes, you can take a chic selfie in your car. From over-the-top dancers to big voices, we have all the other details for the entertainment lined up for our big night.

The food is just one reason our Hale ‘Aina Awards is one of our favorite events all year. OK, with dishes including truffle carbonara and Angry ‘Ahi Dip, it’s a big reason. But our celebration of our reader-selected best restaurants of the year always serves up entertainment along with award-winning chefs’ dishes. For the Hale ‘Aina Celebration, set for Saturday, Dec. 12 at the International Market Place, we’ve lined up music, dancing and more that you can enjoy while socially distanced. Here’s another bonus: You won’t have any trouble finding your car at the end of the night.
When you first check in on the sixth floor of the International Market Place, stop to take an in-car selfie in front of our vehicle-size backdrop. Pick up your goody bag from Foodland and First Hawaiian Bank, then park for the evening.

Watch for Iona Dance Company artists weaving their way through venue. If you don’t have the best view of the stage, don’t worry. The live entertainment will also be shown on large LED screens placed in several spots throughout the space. Diners in the sold-out VIP section will see Streetlight Cadence take the stage.

Everyone else will see vocalists from I’m a Bright Kid Foundation who have performed in multiple local theater productions and in Hawai‘i Five-0, Torch Entertainment and magician Kaulana. And if you are still looking for our list of best restaurants for every craving, the full list of winners, as well as behind-the-scenes video of the chefs who will be cooking your dinner at the event, will also play on the screens in between performers.
There are just a few more spaces left in our once-a-year event.
