What: Ever since Lynn Sakutori debuted her petite apparel line, Sakutori, at Nordstrom, she’s been flooded with requests for larger sizes. This weekend, the local designer delivers with the launch of Sakutori’s plus-size line. Some styles, like her keyhole back tunic and tulip hem crop pant, mirror her petite line, while others, like the tuck waist top and slim long pant with wide elastic waistband, are designed specifically to enhance hourglass shapes.

Short Sighted

What: Watch a series of short films created by Hawaii’s up and coming filmmakers at the Ohina Short Film Showcase, including Byte Sized, which follows child prodigies as they hack into the U.S. Department of Defense; Menstral Fury, two college students who channel a Hong Kong martial arts film; and McKinley Horror Story, based on the true story of a murder at McKinley High School.
