Double Dragons
What:
Tasty bites and groundbreaking fights are on the menu at Grand Cafe & Bakery's special courtyard showing of the classic and final Bruce Lee flick Enter the Dragon.
When: Tonight. Dinner service starts at 5:30 p.m. The movie begins at 6:45 p.m.

Get there early for lion dances, queens and courts, and an 150-foot dragon in the Night in Chinatown Parade that begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends just as Grand Cafe is opening. Then when the movie wraps up the party on the streets continues until 10 p.m.

Weaving a Tale
What:
Wander and wonder over the silk work of Kyoto-textiles artist Akihiko Izukura dramatically draped throughout the grounds of the Academy Art Center at Linekona and the University of Hawaii. At the opening of his exhibit, Life in Colors of Hawaii, Izukura will demonstrate the unique sun-dyeing technique (meaning no added heat or energy) that he uses on his handwoven fabrics for a beautiful result with zero waste.
When: Academy Art Center's opening ceremony and demonstration is tomorrow, 5 p.m. The installation is open until February 15.
UHM's opening and lecture is Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. and goes until January 27.

University of Hawaii at Manoa Commons Gallery, Art Center.
