What:
Stroll around to tasting stations from 14 renowned chefs in honor of Roy’s 20th anniversary. Alan Wong will be there, so will Ming Tsai of Food Network fame and Lee Hefter from Spago Beverly Hills.

Hail to the Chef
What: Want to know how to cook like Roy’s friends? One of them, local boy Tony Liu, who’s cooked at NYC’s Lespinasse, Daniel and Babbo restaurants – and now presides over the Big Apple’s Morandi restaurant – shows how to make Raw Squash Salad and Orecchiette with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe.

Blast from the Past
What: Hawai‘i Fashion Incubator cleans out the closet at UH’s Costume Collection to show off some truly vintage looks in their Threads of Hope exhibit at Aloha Tower Marketplace. The authentic garments from the 1800’s to the 1980
s are all pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What: Donate to breast cancer research and get some new bling while you’re at it. Art Me Up
What: Pecha Kucha night, a local artist speed show-and-tell with 20 designers, photographers and others giving quick 20-second, 20-image presentations of their work. Melisa Medalle of Meesah Jewelry and Aaron Yoshino of Honozooloo.com are just two who are featured this month. Founded in Tokyo, Pech Kucha nights are now held in 138 cities around the globe.
