Massive Transit
What: Next week Venus will cross over the sun and, lucky for you, Hawaii is one of the few places where you can see the transit in its entirety. To help you enjoy this astronomical event, the Institute for Astronomy will hand out free solar viewers around Oahu. But don't forget, or else you'll have to wait another 105 years.

Shakespeare in the Dark
What: Catch the Hawaii premiere of Coriolanus, Hollywood's take on the Shakespearean play. Even if you're not a fan of iambic pentameter, you'll be mesmerized by Ralph Fiennes, Gerard Butler and Vanessa Redgrave as they battle over a gritty militaristic city embroiled in political conflict.
