Weekend Picks – May 10, 2012
What: Fall in love with Loveizm, a brand-new high-end line from Lovelessizm and Lava Roses designer Richie Miao. Both men’s and women’s apparel collections feature Miao’s signature urban edge and asymmetrical hems, but with cleaner silhouettes and soft, high-quality silk-cotton blends and modals. Our picks: a motorcycle jacket with draped collar and removable zippered sleeves, and a sleek black shift dress with ruched shoulder detail.

Details: Prices range from $150 to $500. Click through HONOLULU Magazine’s photo gallery of Loveizm’s debut fashion show.

She’ll love Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar’s Mother’s Day brunch with macadamia nut-sour cream pancakes, eggs florentine and free 12-ounce jar of Executive Chef Nicola Sayada’s famous pomodoro sauce. Or treat her to Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener’s petit filet mignon dinner with melt-in-your-mouth Junior’s New York cheesecake and “Chef Wolfgang” teddy bear. And if you want to go all out, Okonomiyaki Chibo offers a five-course Mother’s Day meal of teppanyaki, okonomiyaki or yakisoba.

While it’s not supposed to hit stores until May 15, we’ve already spotted some pieces online that you can snag for 10 percent off with the code MOM.
