What: New collection of 14 original paintings, plus a surfboard-as-canvas piece and several painted board fins by Heather Brown, the North Shore artist whose star is rising after her work graced the Kokua Festival poster.

Cook Up A Plan
What: Every second Thursday, cook a three-course meal with Chef Elmer Guzman, who worked under Alan Wong at the Canoe House on the Big Island, and is now owner of the comfort-gourmet Poke Stop. Chop, slice, and sauté alongside the chef, then grind on your own creation.
Where: Servco Home and Appliance Showroom, 2841 Pukoloa Street , Mapunapuna.
When: 6-9 p.m., May 8 and every second Thursday, but call to reserve your spot ahead of time.
