What: Shasa Emporium’s trunk show featuring the summer 2008 collection from Indah , the line designed by Libby De Santis, a Kaua‘i girl who runs the label from her home in Bali. At the four-hour shopping party, Shasa is serving up complimentary refreshments, a live DJ, discounts off everything in the entire store (even additional markdowns on clearance items), and gifts with purchases made during the party.

What: The annual three day eat-a-thon at Honolulu Hale is a chance to taste some of the 40 dishes from 13 restaurants that will be serving small plates. There’s also live entertainment, chef cook-offs, a wine tent, and 1,000 newly added seats at umbrella tables.
When:  Friday, 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.; Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

What: The Pet Spot at Ward Warehouse is celebrating its first birthday by giving away more than $10,000 in prizes, including a pure-bred puppy worth up to $2,500. Other giveaways include the “Doggie Decadence” fashion show with dogs in two weight categories (under 70 pounds, and over 70 pounds) competing for “cutest outfit,” judged by audience applause.
