Six reasons to do something this weekend
Meet
Sister Act
What: Turns out singing runs in Bruno Mars' family – four of his sisters make up the girl group, The Lylas. Meet Jaime, Tahiti, Tiara and Presley tomorrow night as they celebrate the release of their first single and music video, "Come Back." The party is also a send-off; the sisters are moving to Los Angeles to develop their music careers while filming a reality show for WE tv.
When: Tomorrow, 10 p.m.-4 a.m.
Where: M Nightclub, Waterfront Plaza, 500 Ala Moana Blvd.
Details: $10 cover, ages 21 and over. Guests are also invited to participate in The Manor Harlem Shakes video shoot at midnight (if you're not familiar with the latest viral video craze, click here). For more information, call (808) 529-0010 or email info@mnlhnl.com.
Visit
Dark Night
What: Stop by Honolulu Museum of Art and celebrate the Elements during ARTafterDARK. The night includes an open air concert, contemporary "fire" dancers, ceramics demonstration, artist talk and a chance to win roundtrip interisland tickets from Hawaiian Airlines. The menu also beckons with offerings like a Water Snake Venom cocktail with cucumber, lychee and sake, and crab cakes with roasted red pepper remoulade and calamansi foam from The Grove.
When: Tomorrow, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Honolulu Museum of Art, 900 S. Beretania St.
Details: $10 admission, museum members get in free. For parking and other information, click here.
Watch
Roxy Heart
What: Take your first look at the upcoming collaboration, DVF Loves Roxy, a limited-edition collection of swimwear, cover-ups, boardshorts, rashguards and beach bags that infuse Roxy's surfer aesthetic with DVF's bold prints. Watch the trailer here, then enter to win a DVF Loves Roxy surfboard, tote or bikini bag here.
When: The collection goes on sale March 7.
Eat
Choc Stars
What: Sure, the Hawaii Chocolate Festival is already on your calendar, but if your sweet tooth craves even more this weekend, hit up Eat the Street: Chocolate. More than 40 food vendors will add savory and sweet chocolate dishes to their menus, like Shogunai Taco's chocolate brownies made with urfa biber, a smoky Turkish pepper.
When: Tomorrow, 4-9 p.m.
Where: 555 South St.
Details: Click here for a full list of participating vendors.
Shop
Cruzin' Together
What: Celebrate the launch of LeSportsac's latest Hawaii-exclusive print, Just Cruzin' – a vintage-inspired beach town scene filled with surfboards, ukulele, shave ice stands, and more. Grab a drink, enter to win special giveaways and meet Brooklyn-based artist Naomi Nemitz, who'll share her inspiration behind the print and sign mini posters on the first floor.
When: Tomorrow, 6-8 p.m.
Where: LeSportsac, Royal Hawaiian Center, Building C.
Details: Admission is free. Call (808) 971-2920 for more information.
