Friday Night Highlights
What: Get ready to suddenly come down with a cold or come up with a reason to leave work early. February's First Friday is a big deal with steals, great shopping, a cool way to go corny for Valentine's Day, and of course complimentary drinks in many spots.
Fashionista's Market – starting at 11 a.m. – Grab a sign with messages such as "If I Were a Stalker, You'd be my Prey", pose in front of tacky decorations, and FM will mail your Valentine's Day photo card to your sweetheart. Score 10 percent off with your five dollar funny valentine purchase then browse jewelry for yourself at Bianca Iris' trunk show.
Roberta Oaks – starting at 10 a.m. – Buy one RO women or mens and take 20 percent off the second item.
Fighting Eel – 5 p.m. – See why Yasmin Dar's (yes, from tv) spiral rings (above left) are selling fast at a Yashi jewelry trunk show. To sweeten the deal, Gillia's holiday collection is going for 40 percent off.
Barrio Vintage – 5 p.m. – Dig through the biggest batch of vintage ever at Barrio (just brought in from a mainland trip) including anchor-adorned wedges, structured bags, playful tops, shoulder-dusting tassel earrings, and lots and lots of mens wear. House of Aria – 5 p.m. – That's right, the favorite spot for fashionistas in Pearl City is having its first First Friday in its soon-to-be new shop on Bethel Street with cute picks and local designers Natto Lee and Noteworthy.
Florencia Arias – 5:30 p.m. – $20 bins full of finds by favorite Miki Nola (including pieces pictured right) and all Florencia clothing will be up to 50 percent off.

A Plan of Fashion
What: There's a creative genius somewhere deep, deep inside you and the HIFI Incubator will bring it out. Right now, the group that's assisted, inspired, and advocated Hawaii's fashion designers is raising money for its first permanent space. The Coop features a workshop, retail store, class space, and room for designer shows and you have just three weeks left to help create the spot for island style.
Details: Go to HIFI's fundraising page here. The Coop is scheduled to open in March (HIFI's already done amazing work inside!) at Ward Warehouse but you can start signing up for the first classes now online.
