What: Experience history through the stories of those who lived it at Hawaii's oldest public graveyard. In the first ever Oahu Cemetery Pupu Theatre, storytellers in period dress will bring to life the tales of a Kauai woman's deadly fight to avoid going to Kalaupapa, a fireman watching three of his fellow firefighters die in the attack on December 7, 1941, a detective working on the 1928 kidnap-murder case of 10-year-old Gil Jamieson, and even memories from Queen Liliuokalani's mother-in-law, Mary Dominis.

What: Sips from about 30 different wineries, bites from nine different restaurants, and 25 pieces of art created live are the big draws for the August Moon fundraiser at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Every sketch by top Hawaii artists such as Solomon Enos, Kahi Ching, Jon Murakami, and Sally French will sell for just $25 to help raise money for children's art education programs.
