Sake Situation
What: Sip 271 different sakes and taste sake-friendly dishes from 14 restaurants at the Joy of Sake, the largest sake-tasting event outside of Japan.

Lights, Camera, Fashion!
What: The launch of local line Acid Dolls at the Fashion Unleashed runway show and party, plus a trunk show of the line's shoe collection.
When: Tonight, 6 to 10 p.m.; fashion show, 8 p.m.
Where: Honolulu Design Center, 1250 Kapi‘olani Blvd.
Details: VIP tickets (guaranteed runway seat) $45; preferred ticket (standing room) $35; and general admission $25. After party $10 in advance, $15 at door.
A Starry Night
What: Schmooze with Hollywood celebrities at the Tag the World triathlon red carpet luau. Mingle with supermodel Amber Valletta and 20 other celebs while you sample from various food-tasting stations, a dessert bar, and martini and wine bars. Meanwhile bid or enter to win items in the auction and giveaways, plus check out an informal haute couture fashion show and a live musical performance. What: Bring your unwanted threads to the "Switch and Bitch" clothing swap at Fresh Café and trade them for new-to-you pieces. Enjoy champagne, cocktails, muffins and music. Proceeds will benefit the YWCA.

What: Sit down to a beer-pairing evening at 12th Avenue Grill’s Last Summer Beer Dinner. Donato Loperfido of wholesale beer-and-wine business Flavors of Italy will share his knowledge of rare beers from around the world while you try dishes like sweet and sour braised duck tart with chevre and Hamakua mushrooms paired with Ise Kadoya Brown Rice Ale from Japan.
