The Inside Satori
What: Local designer Lynn Sakutori has a whole new look for her line and this weekend you can get a preview. The local girl spent nearly 10 years working with top labels in New York before returning to Hawaii with her Satori Collection of silk dresses for every occasion. Now after focusing on her Lauren M. Petites and Lauren Michelle brands for Macy and Sears, Sakutori is unveiling new and more affordable Satori pieces done in colorblocked knit. Before the show, lunch then bid on one of 100 items in a silent auction or dazzle yourself with jewelry from The Bead Gallery event as part of the fundraiser for Mother's Milk lactation consultants based at Kapiolani Medical Center.
When: Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Lauren M. Petites and Satori show begins at 1 p.m.

Punch Drunk
What: Why wait until Sunday for eggs in the afternoon? Shake off your Friday night with juice and jams at the Waikiki EDITION. The very first Punch Brunch event features corned beef hash with hollandaise, smoked salmon and more. But the real stars are master mixologist Christian Self's concoctions of rum combined with cherry, lemon, pomegranate, pineapple, lilikoi juices.

What: The treasure hunt started at 10 a.m., and you have just three days to score vintage pieces at sale prices at Muumuu Heaven. Among the hundreds of items up for grabs for under $50, funky rompers, sequined dresses and even fur coats for a truly hot look.

What: It's definitely not light reading, but Juliet S. Kono's new book Anshu is engrossing enough to make you hole up for the weekend. Hilo-born Himiko Aoki started her life playing with fire, and soon finds herself pregnant, unmarried and trapped in Japan when the bomb falls on Hiroshima. Pick up your copy and meet Kono at a book signing this weekend.
