Pipe Down
What: Catch some surf flicks while munching on juicy burgers, french fries and homemade ice cream at Morning Glass Coffee and Cafe. This popular neighborhood eatery is staying open late to project three films on its back wall: Adrift, Single Fin Yellow and Longer – a reflection of owner Eric Rose’s love of surfing (thus the name “Morning Glass”).

What: Celebrate the life of former HONOLULU Magazine editor John Heckathorn by sipping his favorite cocktails made by some of Honolulu’s hottest bartenders, like a Whiskey Thatcher from Nobu’s Dave Newman. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund in Heckathorn’s name at Hawaii Pacific University, where he was an assistant professor.
