Take your furry friends on a walk for a good cause at the annual fundraiser for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Join other animal lovers on the 1.8-mile dog walk around Kapi‘olani Park, attend the doggie yoga session, enter the pet costume contest and shop local vendors. Free pet adoptions will also be available onsite.

Earn your green thumb status with hands-on training offered by University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience. You’ll learn how to grow fruits and veggies, such as grape tomatoes, lettuce, pole beans and basil, plus take home seeds to start your own food garden. Watch a new play, written by Diane Aoki and directed by Aiko Chinen, about a teenager who spends an afternoon playing the traditional Japanese card game with his grandmother who is living with dementia. Arrive early to play the game yourself and stick around for a talk-story session with the playwright, director and cast afterwards.
