This big, beloved book sale is back with a new location at the former Re-Use Hawaiʻi warehouse in Kaka‘ako. Browse more than 150,000 used books in every genre imaginable, plus CDs, DVDs, comics, manga and a selection of donated art. All proceeds support the state’s 51 public libraries.

Honolulu Surf Film Festival

A stellar summer lineup of surf cinema kicks off with an opening night reception and screening honoring the late North Shore cinematographer Larry Haynes. Book your tickets now for the packed schedule of shorts and features from Hawai‘i and around the world, including The Big Sea, which examines the environmental cost of producing neoprene wetsuits and Women & the Wind about an adventurous trio crossing the North Atlantic in a wood sailing canoe.
