Mark your calendars for this musical ode to the stories of William Shakespeare with ten events at venues across Honolulu. It all starts this weekend with a chamber music concert and a coffee talk with Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra’s Maestro Dane Lam, Michael-Thomas Foumai and some special guests.

Wahi Pana debuts new outdoor art this weekend as part of its multi-year initiative to install works that connect places with their indigenous stories. Admire Kaili Chun’s sculpture and get a glimpse of a Wahi Pana Handi-Van designed by Cory Kamehanaokalā Holt Taum at Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden on Friday. On Saturday, see a new mural at Kahe Point and meet the artists, Meleanna Aluli Meyer and Solomon Enos. Then witness the opening of the new large-scale sculpture installation by Amber Khan and Jordan Souza at Hale‘iwa Beach Park on Sunday.

Visitor Day at Aloha Animal Sanctuary

Spend a morning learning about this nonprofit safe haven for farm animals on the windward side. You’ll tour the property, meet its beloved animal residents and snap photos with goats, sheep, ducks and more, especially Haku the pig who loves taking selfies with visitors. Plus, you’ll feel good knowing that 100% of your ticket cost goes towards the animals’ care.
