Wear is the Love
If you had it your way, you'd live in your pajamas.
Too bad the only person over the age of five who can actually pull that off is Hugh Hefner. (His scantily-clad bunnies and billions of dollars probably help.)
You can, however, opt for the next best thing. Open the centerfold and feast your eyes on Cameron Hawaii's new summer collection, in stores now.
Here's the backstory:
Cameron Hawaii was started in 2008 by two guys, Bobby Ikeda (who was raised in Hawaii) and Mike Clegern (who wasn't, but has Hawaii ties). Using their design backgrounds – Ikeda's parents had a clothing line called Shadows – they developed a line around the fictional "Cameron," a free-spirited surfer girl who moved from Hawaii to California and now travels the world wearing beachy, bohemian pieces in vintage-inspired prints that celebrate her hometown.
Since "Cameron" isn't the high-waisted skirt, button-down blouse type, all you'll find here are brightly-colored cropped tops, fringe tanks, flowy fish-tail dresses and off-the-shoulder tees in an ultra-soft modal-cotton blend that's as comfy as your favorite pajamas (sorry, Hef).
With prices starting at $40, you don't need to own a Playboy mansion to stock your closet, or fill a beach bag, with pieces you'll love to live in. Like a raw edge tank that, when worn under a blazer, could even be office-appropriate, at least on Casual Friday.
So now that you've solved your pajama problem, it's time to work on your next goal…
… making a billion dollars.
Cameron Hawaii is available at First Break Waikiki, MisFortune Hawaii, Kai Boutique and other stockists. For more information, visit Cameron Hawaii's website.
