The two-and-half-minute clip shows a richly animated film as the two embark on an epic adventure sailing across the open ocean. There’s some characteristic Disney spunk and sass as well as jaw-dropping graphics that showcase Disney’s first Polynesian princess.
We’re hoping to hear from readers about the first look. Does Maui work as a larger-than-life character who cracks wise? How about the attention to cultural detail?
(And, if you see someone around town who looks suspiciously like The Rock himself, you’re right! Johnson expects to be in Honolulu quite a bit in the coming months, shooting the film Jumanji.)
Let us know in our comments.
The film will be released in theaters Nov. 23.
