But a few months ago, Kahuku High School classmates Liz Lerner and Kai Cost launched their own self-designed leather bag collection. Like Cyndi Lauper you always want to see true colors shining through – especially when we’re talking about your make up. Cheryl J. De Presbyteries worked as a makeup artist in Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Japan before creating her own line of cosmetics rich in pigment, yet light enough not to clog your pores. Not only that, but Cherbu is non-hypoallergenic, fragrance free, non-comedogenic and is never tested on animals. Oh, and did we mention beautiful?

Lash Card
Just days ago, Alice Kim was in the middle of Fashion Week in New York showing off her LashCard at stockist Henri Bendel. She just made it back home to bring her Lash Card to our pop-up boutique. The Parsons School of Design graduate, whose street cred includes Club Monaco and Aeropostale, did extensive research before launching the card designed to keep your mascara messes in check earlier this year. Her Hawaii Kai-based company has already gotten national and local media attention (this media person uses it every day). It may look simple but the effectiveness is amazing.
