Honolulu Festival

"Pacific Harmony" is the theme for this year's three-day festival. Artists and performers from Australia, Japan, Tahiti, China, Korea and Taiwan will meet in Honolulu to celebrate culture and friendship. There will be a friendship gala, a bon dancing workshop, a grand parade and more. Hawaii and Japan commemorate peace with more than 1,400 fireworks lighting the night sky in the Nagaoka Fireworks show, "laying flowers" in memory of Pearl Harbor attacks and Nagaoka air raid victims from World War II. Hard Rock Rising

You'll get to be a judge when Honolulu bands battle in Hard Rock Cafe's on stage music competition. Audience participation counts in the judging process, so cheer on your favorite bands. The winners get a chance to rock out at London's Hard Rock Calling festival. 11th Annual Temple Emanu-El Kirk Cashmere Jewish Film Festival

Hawaii's Jewish community formed Temple Emanu-El in the early 1950s. For the past 10 years, the Jewish Film Festival at the Doris Duke Theatre celebrated the Jewish experience.
