This Week’s Open House Pick: 1350 Ala Moana

Located across from Ala Moana Beach Park and Ala Moana Center, 1350 Ala Moana has an enviable in-the-heart-of-town location.

I’ve long been curious about 1350 Ala Moana, and while I’ve been there once to visit a friend’s mother (who has a great west-facing unit), I still haven’t really gotten a feel for it. It has the location thing down pat—across from Ala Moana Center and Ala Moana Beach Park—and I hear it’s quiet (something to do with the fact that the average age of the residents is 65).

To satisfy my own personal curiosity and get the scoop on the building so I can share it with you, I’ll be heading to this open house on Sunday. I hope to see you all there, but in the meantime, here are the basics: It’s a renovated corner end unit with two bedrooms and two baths with ocean, sunset, Magic Island and Diamond Head views. The new hardwoods and updated kitchen are definite selling points, as are the views from the balconies and the assigned parking stall and additional basement storage. At $898,000, it’s not exactly a bargain, but for a renovated condo in this location with those views, what do you expect?

Open house: Sun., Jan. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.
