He Inoa No Kalaninui Kamehameha O‘ahu

June 7 to 11

Honor the legacy of King Kamehameha I during days of festivities surrounding his state holiday on June 11. O‘ahu’s celebration begins with a lei draping of Kamehameha’s statue on June 7 at Ali‘iolani Hale and ends at the same place, with a tribute to the king on June 11.

After a five-year hiatus, the Pan-Pacific Festival returns to Honolulu. Three days of festivities will include a bon dance, hula festival and performances by entertainers from Japan and Hawai‘i.

More than 80 local vendors will pop up for this biannual street festival that brings Kaka‘ako to life with food, fashion, music and entertainment. The event will also be a FestPAC site for live performances.

Maoli is coming back to O‘ahu for its Boots on the Ground Tour. The band’s most recent EP, MMO II, came out Nov. 17 and features nine songs.

This summer, Waimea Valley brings back its popular Screen on the Green, an outdoor movie event held after the Hale‘iwa Farmers Market. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in with some snacks as they enjoy a family-friendly film.
