Everything to Do on Halloween Night on O‘ahu

No plans for tonight? Here’s everything from trick-or-treating for kids to costume parties, haunted houses and more for adults.

 

Halloween is on a Friday this year, and there are countless exciting ways to embrace the spooky season, from trick-or-treating to haunted house adventures to nightclub ragers. Check out all the Halloween night events.

Trick-or-Treating

O‘ahu’s malls and businesses are ready for keiki to come trick-or-treating today. Here’s the schedule:

 

Don Don Donki: Have a Don-tastic trick-or-treating experience at Don Don Donki, where your kids can collect treats and take photos with the store mascot Donpen from 2 to 6 p.m.

 

Battleship Missouri Memorial: Keiki ages 2–12 and their accompanying adults are invited to trick-or-treat at the Battleship Missouri Memorial Gift Shop from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

 

International Market Place: Trick-or-treat at participating merchants from 4 to 6 p.m. Plus, check out the entertainment, free balloon artist and photo ops with costumed characters.

 

Ala Moana Center: From 4 to 7 p.m., more than 100 merchants will hand out candy and other sweet surprises, while supplies last. Find more spooky festivities at Centerstage, including a dance party hosted by The Hawai‘i DJ and balloon creations.

 

Kaimukī: Participating businesses in Kaimukī will be handing out treats and offering Halloween specials from 4 to 7 p.m.

 

Kāhala Mall: Trick-or-treating in the indoor mall from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

 

Salt at Our Kaka‘ako: Trick-or-treat, play carnival games, get your face painted, enter a costume contest and complete a passport for treasure from 5 to 8 p.m.

 

McCully’s Monster Mansion: Bring the ‘ohana to McCully District Park from 5 to 8 p.m. for trunk-or-treating, face painting, games and a keiki-friendly haunted house.

 

Halloween Boooth Bash: Trick-or-treat at the park’s pop-up tents and play in the bounce house from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.

 

Ka Makana Ali‘i: Bring the keiki for a magic show starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating throughout the center at participating stores from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Windward Mall: Trick-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Hyatt Regency Waikīkī: Head to the Pualeilani Atrium to trick-or-treat and enter a pumpkin carving contest from 6 to 8 p.m.

10 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Sip and savor eerie concoctions like the Zombitini, Dracula’s Blood Bag and Witch’s Brew cauldron to share.

The Haunted Boardroom

Friday, Oct. 31, 6 to 10 p.m.

Cheers to the spirit of Halloween with craft beers, seltzers and ciders. There will be a costume contest, food vendors, pop-up shops, adult party games and live music. This event will benefit the Rotary Club of Honolulu.

Costume up and cheers to Halloween at Tiki’s, where you can rock out with local band Roots Kai from 8 p.m., then hit the dance floor from 10 p.m. to close. If you have dinner at Tiki’s beforehand, you can stick around for the Halloween party at the bar, no ticket required.

Have a frightfully good time in the Mo‘o Forest. Entry fees will support support Never Quit Dreaming and Hawai‘i’s Special Needs Community.

Haunted Plantation

Haunted Plantation has been hailed as the scariest attraction in the state; recommended for ages 12 and up, reservations required.

Nakamura Haunted House

6:30 to 9 p.m.

This neighborhood haunted house returns for the first time since 2016. Enter if you dare to find thrills, chills and surprises. The haunted house is recommended for ages 10 and up, though younger keiki are welcome to walk through and the actors won’t scare them.

Trial of Fears

7 to 11 p.m.

Trial of Fears, a locally run interactive haunted house experience, returns this October. Keep in mind that this escape room experience will include strobe lights, fog and uneven grounds. Keiki ages 13 and up are welcome.
