The Bus is HEA
Riding the bus just got a little easier for Honoluluans. A new system called TheBus HEA (Honolulu Estimated Arrival) uses GPS trackers on each city bus to give an accurate estimate of when the next bus will be pulling up at your stop. No more guessing whether you should wait for the A Express or settle for a slower local bus.
You can check hea.thebus.org from any browser, but with a super-minimal interface, the site looks readymade for iPhones and other internet-capable cellphones, so you can use it when you’re actually at the bus stop. A Google Maps version that visually tracks bus positions would be fantastic, but as nifty tools go, TheBus HEA is pretty great.
