The Big Picture
Hollywood A-listers? They’re some of your closest friends.
Friday night you went Suessing with Zac Efron and Taylor Swift. Saturday afternoon you spent some Extra time with Tom Cruise and Clint Eastwood before meeting up with Justin, Mila, Emma, Woody, and a few other BFFs (with Benefits). You’re just missing one thing that could make your love of lala land complete. Actually meeting a star outside of reel life.
Here's an event that may be just the ticket – a special reading by author Kaui Hart Hemmings.
Fresh off a trip to the Academy Awards (in a Nicole Miller dress and jewelry from Riches Kahala at Kahala Mall), Hemmings is back home and ready to talk to local fans for the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa’s free new Guest Artists Program. Hemmings will read from her Oscar-award winning novel The Descendants, then answer your star struck questions such as why she went alone to the big ceremony (she only received one ticket), the strangest moment in the media spotlight (it involves twitter and Page Six), her favorite recent read and more about her upcoming book.
A special The Descendants inspired iced tea will be offered for those thirsting for more. RSVP early as space is limited.
Giving you an easy way to feed your lights, camera, passion.
Red carpet not required.
Kaui Hart Hemmings' readings will be Friday, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the newly redesigned Moana Terrace in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. Validated self-parking is available. RSVP to erin.kinoshita@anthologygroup.com.
