The Best Places to Shop and Eat at This Weekend in Honolulu
Fashion never looked so delicious.

1. Shop: Gift of the Collab
What: Nail your next look, from Charlotte Gainsbourg x Current/Elliot's $128 T-shirt to Rita Ora's patch-laden leather basketball shorts for Adidas, with these just-released collaborations. Here's a tip. If these lines are little out of your budget reach, consider Alexa Chung's fabric-inspired nail polish collection, for just $15.
Details: Shop Charlotte Gainsbourg's capsule collection on lyst.com, Rita Ora x Adidas on adidas.com and Alexa Chung x Nailinc.

2. Eat: Kaimuki Superette
What: Your head must be in the sand if you haven't heard the news that Kaimuki Superette is now open. Chef Ed Kenney wows us (again) with a not-so-literal, prettier version of a superette, offering sandwiches and salads including a South Shore He‘e roll (a local turn on a New England lobster roll) and an open-face porchetta sandwich. Dine in for lunch, then grab a jar of watermelon rind kim chee, fresh house made pasta and Shinsato pork sausages to make dinner at home.
When: Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: 3458 Waialae Avenue

3. Enter: Belly Up
–Sponsored Listing–
What: There's a lot we admire about Buddha. He's got that peace thing down, never loses his cool and has a sweet belly that we wish we could rock. A good place to start? We're giving away two tickets to A Lucky MODERN Buddha Belly event at the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival. Join 14 esteemed chefs at the MODERN Honolulu as they showcase dishes inspired by the Lucky Buddha, who is known for happiness, plentitude and wisdom of contentment. Translation: a night of good food and chill vibes. The contest ends tomorrow, so pack your forks and get on your computer, like, NOW.
When: Last day to enter is Friday, Aug. 22. The event is on Thurs, Sept. 4, 2014.
Where: Enter to win here.
Details: Feeling like treating yourself? You can still purchase tickets for the VIP option, which includes sushi, sake and soju for four at Morimoto Waikiki.
4. Laugh: Speed Reading
What: You'd love to be Shakespeare educated if it wasn't for all that reading. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) gives you the cliff notes version of all 37 plays in 97 minutes, with some hilarious editing in this outdoor theatre send off. Pack a basket and picnic early.
When: Thursday-Saturday, August 21-23. Doors open at 5 p.m. The performance starts at 7 p.m.
Where: Grounds of the Hawaiian Mission Houses, 553 S. King St.
Details: Tickets start at $16. Call 447-3926 or buy online at missionhouses.org.
5. Attend: Greek Preview

Take in live entertainment including the lively beats of Apollo, an L.A. based band specializing in Greek music, and the Nisiotes Dancers, a traditional folk dancing group. Hungry? Freshly made gyros, loukoumathes (Greek malasadas), spanakopitas (think savory baklavas) and more are worth an alpha beta try.

Where: Ala Moana Beach Park, McCoy Pavillion.
Details: General admission, $3, children 11 and under and active military are free.
