Taxes: A great excuse for cocktails!

Whether you’re feeling the pain of owing Uncle Sam or celebrating a nice fat return, there’s only one thing left to do this tax season: raise a glass.

At the new restaurant BLT Steak, in Waikiki, patrons can toast to tax day with a 50-percent discount on all alcoholic beverages.

You can take deductions on beer, claim wines by the glass or itemize signature cocktails. If the news is bad, go blue with the Blue Basil, which contains Ketel One citron vodka, with muddled blueberries, basil and limes. If your tax return looks promising, toast with the Plantation Peach (Absolut peach vodka, mixed with pineapple juice and black tea).

Who knows, next year, you might even look forward to filing that 1040.
