Taste of Helumoa Food & Wine Festival
Celebrate Royal Hawaiian Center’s 30th Anniversary with the Taste of Helumoa Food & Wine Festival on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Enjoy a variety of dining options and entertainment from the Brothers Cazimero. Tantalize your taste buds with delectable dishes from 10 different restaurants – all included in the ticket price. Each food tent will also feature an optional wine pairing presented by Better Brands.
For beer fans, Primo Island Lager will also feature the new Aloha Festivals Ale.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Aloha Festivals.
Half of the participating restaurants include Hale Aina Award winners. Here’s a look at who they are and what they’ll be featuring on their menus:
- PF Chang’s Waikīkī
“Chang’s Spicy Chicken”. Lightly dusted and stire-fried in a sweet sichuan sauce. PF Chang’s most popular dish
- The Cheesecake Factory
“Original and Godiva Chocolate Cheesecakes” Creamy Cheesecake with a Graham Craker Crust and Sour Cream Topping and Layers of Flourless Godiva Chocolate Cake, Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake, and Chocolate Mousse.
- Wolfgang’s Steakhouse
“Surf & Turf” signature Crab Cakes and Canadian Bacon.
- Azure restaurant at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel
“Corriander Shrimp”. Shrimp with feta cheese and compressed watermelon and popcorn.
- RumFire Waikiki
"Chipotle Guinness Braised Short Rib" served with pearl onion cumin fava bean ragu, and orange jam. With "Rum Minted Strawberry Tapioca" served with Dole Pineapple Relish, Banana Cinnamon Creme Anqlaise.
Other featured restaurants and their menu items include:
- Beijing Chinese Seafood
“Imperial Seafood Roll”. Deep-fried spring roll stuffed with fresh seafood and marinated with special mayonnaise sauce
- Doraku Sushi
“New Style Tuna Tataki”. Juilienne Daikon Radish and Sweet Onions with seasoned wakame, kaiware, ponzu sauce, crispy garlic chips and garlic aioli
- Panya Bakery
“A Trio of Sweet & Savory Pastries”.
- Restaurant Suntory
“Suntory Zensai” an assortment of delicious appetizers.
- Senor Frog’s
“Crispy Chicken Taquitos”. Crispy fresh tacos & flour tortillas rolled -filled with white shredded chicken and deep fried, served with shredded lettuce pico de gallo, sour cream and green sauce.
Tickets are $45 pre-sale or $50 at the door.
Ticket will include one (1) food tasting at all 10 food tents and one (1) beverage. Additional beverage tickets will be available for $5 per ticket and VIP Cabanas for groups of ten (10) will also be available for purchase.
