Supporting Local Nonprofits Is as Easy as Ordering Takeout

(Sponsored) Use your First Hawaiian Bank card for delivery or pickup orders and you’ll not only be supporting Hawai‘i’s restaurant industry—you’ll be supporting local nonprofits, too.

As Hawai‘i continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies have been stepping up to offer support in their own special ways. The Aloha for Hawai‘i program, launched by First Hawaiian Bank, aims to bring support and relief to not one, but two critical parts of our local community—restaurants and nonprofits—with the help of FHB cardholders.

Here’s how it works: Use your FHB credit or debit card when paying for your takeout or delivery order. Every time you do, FHB will make a donation up to the Aloha for Hawai‘i Fund, which supports nine local nonprofits supporting food, and health and human service programs for those in need during this pandemic. FHB’s goal is 1 million takeout orders, which will give much-needed support to keep our favorite restaurants afloat. That turns into $1 million dollars donated to help nonprofits continue serving the community during COVID-19.

It’s that simple. Pay with your FHB card and see how this simple act can make an enormous difference to those in Hawai‘i who need our help.
