Strike a Pose
You're already bending over backwards for your boss's fifth "high-priority" report this week when your just-broken-up best friend texts AGAIN ("He said 'take care'… Does that mean he misses me?"). Looks like a sunset sob session will bump your plans to finally pick up your two-week old dry cleaning, restock your empty fridge and burn off the Doritos and M&Ms you called lunch.
No question about it – you're stretched thin. Lucky for you, CorePower Yoga opened its first Hawaii studio last week in Kahala Mall, which means you can regain control of your life (and your mind) with a one-stop shop.
CorePower teaches Vinyasa yoga which focuses on breathing and movement. Beginners learn at room temperature, then the studio warms up to 98 degrees for intermediate and advanced students. If you can take the heat, try Hot Power Fusion which features static yoga poses in an 102-degree room. Or muscle your way through Yoga Sculpt, a hot yoga class with free weights. All classes are about an hour and take place on CorePower's anti-bacterial floor made of 40 percent recycled materials.
Finish off your destressing session with a little retail therapy at CorePower's shop stocked with camis by lululemon, OmGirl and Soybu, soft ruched capris from IAmBeyond and Skidless towels by yogitoes, or grab dinner and run errands at the mall.
Classes start as early as 6 a.m. or as late as 8:45 p.m. so you can fit them into your inflexible schedule. Right now, Hawaii residents can get a free week of unlimited classes with a special online coupon or by filling out a short form at the studio.
So you don't have to sweat the small stuff.
You'll finally be able to leave in one peace.
Core Power Yoga is located at 4211 Waialae Avenue. The entrance is located in Kahala Mall, next to Kahala Barber and Young Laundry. Call (808) 738-9642 or click here for more information .
