Our friends, our neighbors, our family. Someone you know in our community may be ALICE, a population of Asset Limited Income Constrained, and Employed. These are hardworking people we interact with every day, who have a job (or multiple jobs), yet cannot afford basic necessities to remain stable—people like Siletha.

A contribution from your paycheck can make all the difference in their lives. Stand with Aloha United Way, 1,000-plus organizations and nearly 350 partner agencies by starting a workplace campaign this giving season. Your generosity helps make our community stronger and more resilient through AUW’s ALICE Initiative.

With the assistance of ALICE partners and other community agencies, Waikīkī Community Center (WCC) helped Siletha to find a higher paying job, get new glasses and move into more cost-efficient housing. In addition, WCC was also able to increase her access to healthy food and technology during the pandemic thanks to Aloha United Way and the heartfelt support of generous donors.

Consider supporting the community through your workplace giving campaign, or visit AUW.org to find more ways to support Aloha United Way. By starting a workplace campaign and donating directly, we can all uplift people like Siletha.
