Sponsored Edition: Super Model

You love dressing up.
As in you’ll find any excuse to slip on your strapless red bodysuit, knee-high boots and silver bulletproof bracelets.
Which might be okay if you fought crime in that getup…
It’s no Wonder your friends don’t ask you for fashion advice.
Fear not. This Saturday, Pearlridge Center will come to your rescue with its Heroes, Villains & Vixens fashion show, part of the Center’s summer comic book exhibit, Hall of Heroes.
Just drive your fancy, high-tech automobile (since you can’t, you know, fly) to Pearlridge Center Uptown, and lasso your way into the space formerly occupied by Borders.

There, you’ll catch the newly-crowned Miss Hawaii and other super models walking the runway in hot, new looks from stores like Victoria’s Secret, T.J.Maxx, T&C Surf Designs and Tapestries by Hauoli.
Since you’ll be totally inspired to update your look, why not pack up your old outfits and donate them to a worthy cause? In addition to the fashion show, Pearlridge is hosting a Super Glam Drive for Goodwill Industries of Hawaii. Volunteers will be on hand to collect luxury bags, shoes, vintage fashion, accessories, jewelry and menswear for the upcoming Bank of Hawaii presents Goodwill Goes GLAM! shopping and fashion event in August. And, as a thank you from Pearlridge Center, a general admission ticket to the event will be given to each donor, while supplies last.
So you’ll score entry to one of the year’s hottest fashion events, while ultimately helping thousands of Hawaii’s people with employment barriers reach their full potential and become self-sufficient.
Sure, you may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
But all things considered, you can still call yourself a hero.
Saturday at 12 p.m. Heroes, Villains & Vixens Fashion Show; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Super Glam Drive, Pearlridge Center, 98-1005 Moanalua Rd. For more information about the event, visit Pearlridge Center’s website. For information about Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, click here.
