Sponsored Edition: Lights, Camera, Fashion!
Christmas is great. Halloween is a lot of fun. When it comes to your calendar only seven days really matter.
But until your boss or Congress deems Mercedes Benz Fashion Week an official holiday (frankly, they could all use a wardrobe redo) it looks like you’ll be stuck in the office instead of enjoying red carpet style in New York.
You don’t have to runway to the Big Apple for your fashion fix. Just strut over to the debut of Ala Moana Center’s Fall Fashion Event.
The action-packed weekend features over 80 in-store events. It begins Thursday, September 8 with Fashion’s Night Out. Sip champagne at stores such as Dior, Folli Follie, and Wolford, and score exclusive gifts with purchase at stores such as Armani Exchange, Gucci, and J. Crew-on-the-Island.
Friday, Centerstage heats up when Honolulu’s firefighters showcase the best fall looks from Tori Richard, Celebrity Tuxedos, and more. Saturday, award-winning designer Amos Kotomori lends his stylish eye to hourly shows featuring trendy fashions from Ala Moana Center merchants. Sunday, the heads of Hawaii’s non-profit organizations wrap it up with the must-have looks in luxury wear.
Give back by picking up chic t-shirts from the new “Hope for Japan” kiosk which will benefit non-profits helping tsunami victims in Japan. Or bring in your old suits, handbags, and accessories for Dress for Success Honolulu, which provides work wear for disadvantaged women.
Now that your hard shopping work is done, arm yourself with a glamorous red patent clutch, free with $250 in receipts. And make sure to enter for a trip for two to the Trump International Hotel on the Las Vegas strip complete with a $500 gift certificate for further shopping splurges.
So you have an excuse to go the extra mile for your style, even if you start at home.
The Fall Fashion Event begins Thursday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. Click here for all the details on Ala Moana Center’s website.
