Until now. Local hair and makeup artist Christine Gardner of Flaunt Makeovers has just launched a decidedly modern collection of custom feather hairpieces and leather and rhinestone bracelets. Called Attached in Hawai‘i, the hairpieces are perfect for holding your updo together or adding a plume of color to your tresses. Add a simple leather wrist strap to any outfit with a rhinestone embossed word to express yourself.

Gardner has been making one of kind accessories as part of her hair and makeup services for brides. But when she started getting requests for additional pieces, the line took on its own life. Bracelets and hairpieces are now stocked at The Bridal Boutique, and starting November 20, the Attached in Hawai‘i collection will be available at boutiques on O‘ahu and Maui.

For the holidays, Lei Chic readers can order the leather bracelets, up to nine letters with rhinestones for only $20 (they’re normally $28).
