Sponsored Edition: Dish Granted
Drinks tonight? Great idea. But then the waffling begins.
One friend is too chicken to try anything spicy, the other is still shell shocked from that bad night at a dive seafood spot, and by the time they finish arguing with your flaky bestie about desserts Happy Hour is over and you’re are a scone’s throw away from calling it all off.
Raise the steaks with a trip to a spot with specials guaranteed to keep everyone from whining and dining – The Royal Hawaiian Center.
You start at 2 p.m. on the third floor, scooping up dishes of global cuisine and cucumber cosmopolitans at the newly opened Five-Star International Buffet. 3 p.m. you’re on to Okonomiyaki Chibo for grilled ahi, tofu and spinach and a white peach martini all for $27. At 4 p.m., you’re first into Wolfgang Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener’s – finishing off seven dollar steak sliders and lobster crostinis before snagging an outdoor table at Il Lupino Trattoria and Wine Bar with a pitcher of sangria and a five dollar oh-so-tender meatball swimming in tasty pomodoro sauce.
By 6:30 p.m. you have a half-hour and just enough of an appetite for Doraku Sushi: six dollar tuna tataki with daikon and sweet onion, spicy miso edamame for just under four dollars, and satisfying sips of hot sake.
Since Happy Hour deals are daily your crew can come back this weekend for another round – or four. This time, maybe you’ll stick around until 10 p.m. when Okonomiyaki Chibo late night specials begin.
Now that’s how to end your day with a good bite.
Royal Hawaiian Center is at 2201 Kalakaua Ave. Learn more about all the shopping, dining, and events the center has to offer on Royal Hawaiian Center’s website.
