Get ready, Hawai‘i—holiday magic is arriving in the heart of Honolulu like never before. This December, the Hawai‘i Convention Center transforms into a winter wonderland with ‘Twas the Light Before Christmas on Ice presented by American Savings Bank.

For the first time, families and friends can lace up their skates and glide across an expansive 8,000-square-foot indoor ice rink, surrounded by dazzling holiday lights and festive music. You’ll explore a 10,000 square-foot multi-sensory experience, the first of its kind in Hawai’i, produced by ARTECHOUSE—an acclaimed art collective, in full festive spirit with holiday music, lighting and themed events the whole family can enjoy.
Embark on a bright and merry journey through the Center’s exhibit hall transformed into a whimsical Winter Wonderland. Snap a flurry of photos as you meander down winding paths through a snow-covered Fir Forest of Light, two giant light tunnels and larger than life twinkling holiday light displays.
A keiki wonderland designed for little ones will have bounce houses, soft play areas, a holiday movie theater and a Honolulu Cookie Company Letters to Santa station. Grown-ups won’t miss out on the holiday magic with specialty cocktails, zero-proof drinks and a menu of inspired treats available in a comfortable lounge atmosphere.
New this year, shop local at the American Savings Bank Holiday Marketplace featuring homegrown vendors and makers on select weekends and a selection of exclusive event merchandise ensures you can bring home a piece of the holiday sparkle.
“This year, we’ve woven even more holiday magic into every detail,” says Teri Orton, General Manager of the Hawai‘i Convention Center. “From immersive light shows to ice skating and family-friendly activities, we’re excited to create unforgettable memories for kama‘āina and visitors alike.”
Tickets go on sale soon, with special pricing for families, groups, and school field trips. Private bookings and corporate gatherings are also welcome, complete with festive Holiday Pā‘ina catering packages. Staycation packages at the Prince Waikīkī will be announced in the coming weeks.
