Eco-friendly and fun local wrapping papers.

You’re all about making your presents presentable. It’s not a perfect package unless it’s as pretty on the outside as it is on the inside. We’re talking paper, ribbons, bows—er, and a whole lot of fuel for the wastebasket. Lately, you’ve been totally wrapped up in finding a better way.
The next time you have a bundle of fun to send, try Wrappily, the super cute line of local wrapping paper created by Maui-based owner Sara Smith. Sick of sending off her gifts taped up in plastic-coasted papers printed in China, she created her own set of stylish sheets that are both adorable and environmentally friendly with the artistic help of local graphic designers such as Lehua Chong and Joelle Ihilani Birano.
Sustainability is part and parcel of the Wrappily model. The line is constructed out of 100-percent recycled materials, including compostable paper, and is printed entirely on local newspaper presses using soy-based inks, making it as eco-conscious as it is gorgeous.
The wrapping papers come in sets of two 21-by-32-inch sheets and feature a variety of prints, ranging from graphic print patterns to endearing cartoons. Think charming, tiled raindrops and cheery yellow scallops, blooming cereus flowers in peach and deep purple, graphic palaka, and our favorite, the delicious Hawaiian Plate design, an adorable pattern of coconuts, pigs and taro. Plus, each fresh, brightly colored sheet is reversible so there are two equally cute patterns to choose from.
Less waste and more chic? Talk about the total package.
