You'll do anything to secure your spot on Santa's nice list. Even if it means taking on some of his "holiday deliveries," or as we like to call it: volunteer elf status.
There's no better way to channel the elves than by heading over to Ala Moana Center for ThanksGetting Day (i.e. the day after Thanksgiving). With more than 60 stores opening at midnight, you're guaranteed to find all the presents on your list. Plus, you'll save precious pennies by stuffing your sack with door-buster specials at more than 50 stores and taking advantage of discounts like 40 percent off at Local Motion from 12-4 a.m., 50 percent off select LeSportsac merchandise from 6-9 a.m., 30 percent off everything at bebe, 25 percent off at Lacoste and much more. (Pick up a free Shopping Guide or click here for a full listing.)
Don't tell the big guy, but you might also slip in a few things for yourself. Anything to help you score that limited-edition Big Santa Bobble (rack up $500 or more in receipts and bring them to Customer Service while supplies last). Also, mum's the word as you casually drop your lil 'ol name into the drawing at Center Court for a chance to win a trip for two to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies. It may not take the place of flying reindeer, but it'll certainly do.
Take a break to watch the North-Pole-style Centerstage snow fall or festive holiday entertainment by the Mele Trees of Light. It's enough to turn any naughty kid nice. Then reward yourself with a holiday treat at Longhi's Restaurant, Tsukiji Fish Market, Nordstrom Marketplace Café or any one of the Center's delicious restaurants. (Leave those milk and cookies to Santa.)
If anyone asks why you need another round through the mall, just tell 'em you're checking your list twice.
You take this naughty or nice stuff seriously.
