See what's new at the Allure
The Allure unveiled the latest multi-million dollar renovations to their luxury condo on the edge of Waikiki last night, with modern, unique touches you won't see anywhere else in Hawaii.

The most stunning upgrade, which was done at the request of current residents, is the newly designed lobby area. It was previously a huge expanse of space, but so cavernous and impersonal that residents didn't spend time there. The new "cubes" help to section off parts of the lobby to create intimate spaces for working or lounging (I was actually thinking of how I could coffice there).
There's even a fireplace area for entertaining guests, and the building provides free coffee and tea, brewed fresh in their Keurig machine.

The recreation room, terrace, and pool area on the sixth floor have also gotten a contemporary facelift. The pool now has cabanas and palms—trés Hollywood—with chic new lounge chairs so you can entertain or lie around like a rock star. There are five barbecue grills in the area, as well.
Some of the available units have also undergone renovations to appeal to different lifestyles. The photos below are from the model units we toured yesterday, but if you want to see more, click here.

The two-bedroom model is 1,216 square feet and has been configured to maximize space—especially the dining area. The living area looks bigger than it is, and the arched entry is a nice touch.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom model has one of the larger floor plans at 1,419 square feet. This was one of our favorite layouts, as it felt like a single-family home. The dining area and living room are huge, and the rooms are nicely separated down the hallway.

If you want a home with a big "wow" factor, you might consider the renovated three-bedroom unit. The Allure reconfigured it down to two bedrooms, but beautifully laid out over 1,616 square feet. The unit is so large and the layout so unique, I had to take video to show what it's like. Click here to see the video.
Prices for units at the Allure start at $629,900 fee simple; the modified floor plan units start at $853,000. For more information, call Kris Kim at 808-728-4153 or go to www.allurewaikiki.com.
