If you spend a good portion of your life on the Leeward Coast, you might want to consider some of the newer homes in Waianae.
Sure, Waianae gets a bad rap sometimes, but the recently-built subdivisions are quite nice—and the price is even nicer.
Take the Sea Country subdivision in Maili, for example. You might be surprised by what you find. Realtor Mike Bates has 18 3- and 4-bedroom homes showing on his website.

For instance, one listed by Century 21, is a 3-bedroom 2 bath single-family home in the Sea Country neighborhood with an asking price of $385,000. Highlights include hardwood floors and a tastefully painted interior.
If you need four bedrooms, homes for sale range from a $419,950 asking price to $445,000.
They’re all located in an 800-home community that features an 11-acre park, as well as a community club house and pool. The neighborhood even has a general store and a daycare center.
Sea Country is also close to Ka Waihona O Ka Na – Auao Public Charter School, one of the highest-achieving Hawaiian-based charter schools, as well as Nanakuli and Waianae High Schools, which have both earned accolades for their video programs.
