Enjoy fine scotch and cigars? If the answer to that is yes, then you should take a look at these two upcoming events in April at Formaggio Grill and The Willows.

Scotch Dinner at Formaggio

On April 6th at 7 p.m., Formaggio Grill will host Tom Turner, Master of Whisky for Diageo, in a special Scotch & cigar pairing dinner.

The menu will feature 3-courses and a cigar pairing to end. Here’s a look at the menu and scotch pairings:

First course
Drambuie Watermelon Salad with Pomegranite Dressing
Paired with Johnny Walker Rob Roy

Second course
Kahlua Pig Forfar Bridie with Mustard Greens and Maui Onions
Paired with Coal Ila 12 yr

Third course
Tobacco Smoked Brisket with Yukon Golden Potato Terrine and Spiced Carrots
Paired with Cragganmore 12yr

The last course will be a Cigar Pairing with Oban Distillers Edition 1993. It will be outside in a liquor licensed premise and smoking permitted area.

The cost of the dinner is $69 inclusive of tax and tip.

Grand Scotch Tour at The Willows

Presented by the Hawaiian Scottish Association and Fujioka Wine, the Grand Scotch Tour 2010 will take place on April 7th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Willows.

Up to 30 acclaimed scotch selections will be available as well as special seminars by Tom Turner, Diageo Master of Whiskey and Martin Daraz, Brand Ambassador of Highland Park.

A VIP Scotch Room will also be available featuring scotches such as Chivas 25th, Glenmorangle Signet, Highland Park 25th, Johnnie Walker Blue, Macallan 18th and Macallan 25th.

Executive Chef Jay Matsukawa of The Willows will be preparing a delicious menu to pair along with the scotch. Guests can also enjoy some entertaining Traditional Bagpipe renditions.

Tickets will be available for the Grand Scotch Tour for $90 at the door ($80 if pre-paid). The VIP Scotch Room is $125 and includes the Grand Scotch Tour plus the VIP Scotch Room selections.
