We know, we know: We're one day early for #tbt, but Salt Liko's latest collection, released this past weekend, is getting us in the retro mood. It's a throwback that we're ready to celebrate any day of the week.

Keeping with the brand's cultural and nature-inspired tradition (the last two collections were titled "Mauka" and "Makai"), this fresh new take on the Salt Liko style is going by the name Makani, after the wind. It's the perfect moniker for a line that's all about establishing its direction and breezing through to the future, while also staying true to the designs and shapes that make its mix of contemporary, urban and resort-wear influences unique.

So while there's enough new-new to get us excited, you'll also find favorites that hearken back to seasons past. Silhouettes from yore, such as the breezy, wide-legged Kahealani pant and must-have Mahina crop top, are in the lineup, and we're giving warm welcomes back to the Pupuhinuhinu print, now with a soft, sand-colored twist, and the Kapukapu print, which has undergone a facelift with cool teal. Now you can find them in more shades and patterns, plus new additions to the cache of wearable options, including leggings and sarongs.

We have a feeling this will stand the test of time.
