Ruth's Chris 45th Anniversary Celebration

All five Hawaii Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations will celebrate the 45^th Anniversary of the acclaimed steak house chain.

In 1965, Ruth Ann Udstad mortgaged her house in order to buy the Chris Steak House in New Orleans. Forty-five years later, there are over a 130 Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations across the world, including the five locations here in Hawaii (2 on Oahu, 2 on Maui and 1 on the Big Island). The first Hawaii location was opened at Restaurant Row in 1989.

In celebration of this milestone, Ruth’s Chris Steak House has created a special 45^th Anniversary Menu priced at $45.

The 3-course celebration menu begins with a choice of Louisiana Gumbo or Steak House Salad.

Then choose an entrée selection from:

Steak and Cajun Shrimp

Rib Eye Steak

Veal Chop

Stuffed Chicken Breast

Entrees are served with your choice of accompaniment from: mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms or steamed white rice.

Then finish with dessert with your choice of Ruth’s famous Bread Pudding, Ice Cream or Sorbet.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House Hawaii’s 20^th Anniversary Langtry Estate Cabernet and Chardonnay wines will be featured during the celebration. “Ruth’s Chris Steak House, which opened originally in Restaurant Row in 1989, partnered with Langtry Estate & Vineyards to create their special 20^th anniversary wine. A portion of the sale proceeds from each bottle will serve to assist the many needy members of our community,” said Randy Schoch, chairman of the franchise.

The special 45^th Anniversary Menu is available now through July 31, 2010.

Also, in honor of the 45^th Anniversary, the restaurant is giving away a Wine Country Weekend – Round Trip for 2 to San Francisco, 2 Nights Accommodation at Langtry Estate, VIP Dinner and Tour of the Winery.
