Rocks Steady
I may be hard of earring but it seems your delicate accessories are a bit quiet. Those barely-there baubles are hardly ringing endorsements of your status as a style setter. And that oh-so-simple neckpiece – well no one can read your choker face.
Pump it up a notch with adornments that speak volumes (without drowning out the rest of your outfit).
Caroline Hay started making jewelry in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. But it was a move to Maui then Oahu that inspired the colorful, nature-inspired TOR (short for “the ocean rises”) Jewelry collection.
Make a statement with vibrant seed beads intricately woven on gold-filled wire, striking arrowhead pendants, raw quartz and citrine trimmed in gold, sleek buffalo horn eagles, wire-wrapped sharks' teeth on hand-shaped hoops, and gemstones dangling from adorable turquoise birds. Then wrist and shout with piles of tumbled gemstones on gold-filled chain bracelets.
Hay can alter many pieces to fit. Most are priced around fifty dollars.
Now that's how to let your fashions speak louder than words.
TOR Jewelry is now available at Basique Threads in Ward Warehouse, Genius Outfitters at 356 Lewers St. in Waikiki, on TOR Jewelry's website and Hay's etsy shop.
