Rock Solid Deals

You’ve outgrown your glam rock groupie days – big hair, fishnets, and heavy eyeliner are all behind you. But even though you’re no longer trying to score backstage passes, you still love getting a few cheap thrills.

So head to Glam Rok, the new designer discount boutique on Kapahulu.

Owner Jacqueline Trinh wanted to offer glamour at rock bottom prices (hence the name), because like many women, she loves designer duds but can’t always swing the sticker price. So she started collecting new and gently used items from family and friends, and what started as a Craigslist business became a brick-and-mortar store.

The boutique itself is teeny – but is stocked with bargains like $10 tops and $15 dresses, from brands like Bebe, Juicy Couture, and Ed Hardy. You’ll also find deeply discounted sunglasses, shoes and bags from luxury labels Dior, Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

The biggest score is the designer denim, including Rock & Republic, 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Frankie B and more. Buy one pair for $45, two for $40 each, or if you get four pairs or more, they drop to just $35 each.

And unlike some other consignment stores, the selection here feels young, trendy, and in good condition.

So prepare to become a Glam Rok groupie.
Without feeling cheap and used.
